In a Pickle
It's been a long time since I blogged about the garden but we had a very wet spring again this year and it put me off a bit. Nevertheless, the garden is clean and producing well.
Back in March, I sowed white onions for pickling, Mark loves his pickle. Up to now, we bought jars of them. It was either the very small ones, but too small for Mark's taste or the Haywards ones from the English shelf in Intermarche, but a bit expansive for my purse.
I didn't know exactly when to lift them, so I pulled a few out, they were still a bit too small, waited a couple of weeks and it was fine. We got much more than I expected.
I peeled them, washed them, put them in jars and poured the vinegar over. They have been soaking for a couple of weeks now. Awaiting for Mark's judgement.
